Site Reliability Engineer – Windows Server, Python – 12 month + contract for an experienced SRE to join a globally operating Basel based company in the Financial Services sector.

Your tasks:

• Design and implement reliable, scalable, and efficient systems, tools, and processes that ensure the availability and performance of our software products.
• Create and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems that provide visibility into the health and performance of our systems and applications.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other issues that affect system reliability and performance.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans, backup systems, and other measures that ensure the availability and integrity of our data.    

Your experience/knowledge:
 

• Strong experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, preferably within Financial Services
• Solid knowledge of supporting applications running on Windows Servers
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
• Knowledge of Windows systems administration
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby
• Language skills: English
