Business and Data Analyst vacancy for our Basel based client in the Banking sector.
Your tasks:
- Collaborate with business areas to understand their data needs and requirements
- Define requirements for data products, including table schemas, in collaboration with business stakeholders
- Design data models that meet business requirements and support efficient data retrieval and analysis
- Assist in the creation of data workloads in the new data Lakehouse platform
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Write and optimize SQL queries to support the creation and validation of the data workloads
Your experience/knowledge:
- Proven experience in data projects, preferably within financial services, commercial banking or a similar industry
- Deep understanding of business areas such as Middle Office, Risk, or Finance, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write and optimize complex queries
- Strong experience in data modelling, including the design of table schemas and data structures
- Familiarity with data platforms and modern data architecture principles
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
- Language skills: English
