IT Vendor Manager

IT Vendor Manager – Salesforce, Workday, Palo Alto – This is a long-term contract opportunity to join our Basel based client in the Banking sector. 

Your tasks:

• Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key IT vendors, acting as the primary point of contact.
• Contract Negotiation and Management: Lead the negotiation of vendor contracts,
• Oversee the contract lifecycle, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
• Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate vendor performance.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships.
• Cost Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize vendor-related costs.

Your experience/knowledge:
 

• Extensive experience in IT vendor management
• Proven track record of successfully managing vendors in very interdependent environment
• Proven track record negotiating complex contracts and to successfully renew partnerships with IT vendors
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, software, and services, as well as industry best practices in vendor management

Your soft skills:
 

• Excellent comprehension skills with attention to detail
• A high degree of self-organisation and time management
• Analytical and solution-orientated thinking
